Dear Parents, Grandparents & Guardians,

The Seward Elementary School Library would like to welcome you to the Library!  We are looking forward to working with your child and would like to take a moment to share some information about our school library.

• Our library program promotes the very best of children’s literature for your child with activities designed to help student’s enjoy the stories even more.

• We will be doing our very best to engage your child in literature by recommending reading materials and reading activities for their specific reading level.

• Your child will be learning valuable research and information literacy skills suited to their grade levels.

• We are planning the Fall Book Fair, Spring Book Fair, our Birthday Book Program and partnerships with the Community Library Museum.

We have several projects we are working on and would love to have you join our team.  If you would like to learn more and volunteer to help in the library, please let us know.

Upper elementary (3rd – 6th) visit the library once a week, and the lower elementary (K – 2nd) visit the library at least twice a week.  Their library teacher is [To Be Announced].  There is also Open Library during the lunch/recess hour for the whole school, supervised by Mrs. Kingsland, every day.
